It's ok Mark The Vox Humana sounds like Nostalgia which is ok but the Mini is a bit weak. Overall it sounded a bit too computerised by which i mean it's too immaculate. Needs some variation in timeing etc.

and learning more about how to use my software but still so far to go... #axe# Don't put yourself down mark,it doesn't sound like you've too much learning to do. I'd like to hear your own stuff though,or do the covers more in your own style. ;D

well if that is from someone still learning programing, sequencing and VST's I'd say it was bloody good. I'd be happy if Id created that rather than tweaked a midi file.
Time for your own stuff or your take on old stuff

The tweaked version is better Mark but something about the Chorus is not right. An incorrect note or something.
The mini still needs something to make me sit up and prick my ears but i'm being ultra picky. Flows much better though apart from the chorus.

Sounding good Mark ;D I agree the the mini needs to be stronger (more in ya face sounding). The Nostalga Vox Humana is sounding better than in past posts of yours - have you changed more settings ?
The chorus has a souple of wrong notes. On the first repetition (quick 3 notes going up at the end) your are playing A B D I think, but it should be G A D. On the 2nd repetition (slow notes going up at the end) It should be Low D then the higher G A D.
Hope this makes sense. If not, let me know & I'll post something up.
Keep up the good work though ;D

@danny Man you guys are good on here. I never would have spotted that it WAS G-A-D. Not so sure about the low(er) D though Dan?? I changed my eq strategy and warming techniquie then sunk the Nostalgia in reverb which seems a bit better. Cheers

...but I *am* playing DGAD and the first D is one octave lower from the last one? ??!!!!!! Confused now #buggered# Danny, I emailed you the MIDI file so you can see what/where I'm going wrong on the chorus. I already fixed the first GAD bit. What do you fink?

;D the midi file seems fine now. Listening back to your original post (which I saved to my pc ) I think you were originaly playing D A B D on the slower 2nd repeat, so it was only the 2 lots of A B D that were wrong (should have been G A D ) - but you've changed that now and it sounds right I'm confused too now Anyway - it is correct now so I guess that is what matters. ;D The minimoog is sounding better. One thing to try maybe is to loose the sustain/release from it. With no sutain/release it makes the sound punch in/out more. Try it and see ? Sounds alot better already though I think ;D PS. Good thinking sending me the midi file Makes life alot easier.

You see you have got me at it now I got my Minimoog VSTI out and before you know it I'm making Numan sounds from the 79/80 era: WeAreSoFragile Not sure if I've got the right key, but you get the idea. ConversationBest_Bit_Of_M.E.

Chorus sounds right but you still need some grit in that Mini sound. it's too friendly and needs an edge. Something like this with an edge. dirtierIt's not your sound itself it just needs the filter opening a bit and a shorter attack to make it a bit more dirty. Just my opinion

It was the Arturia Minimoog V. I got "tweeky with it" on one of the presets and it came out like that. I've saved the 2 tweeked patches to my library now for future use (pm me if you want the prs files for yourself mate )
