Thanx Danny :-)
I've slightly mixed / adjusted it and re-uploaded - I'm done with it now.
My ears have had enough of it for a while...

A grand effort Mark. I'm especially impressed with your VSTI version of Vox Humana. Looking forward to hearing your own stuff &/or some non Numan covers. Keep them fingers twiddling & tweaking ;D Oh! and treat yourself to some real analogue hardware sometime too mate! I reckon you'd make good use of it

I think it sounds great, m8...I love the Vox Humana sound, it's by far the closest imitation I've ever heard..
IS there any chance please of posting a few runs from Nostalgia using just Vox Humana? I am seriously thinking of buying this s/w on the strength of the way VH sounds on your demo..
Thanks ;D

Hi Mike, glad to see you posting again rather than bugging me by email #bergleblergle# In my opinion it's very much the poor man's Vox Humana. In isolation you can hear the clicks on the loops (bad) and you have to remove all the filtering they smothered it in to make it remotely useable (which incidentally makes it sound nothing like vox humana). As Mark has ably demonstrated, it's ok buried in a mix but put it up against a Polymoog played live, it's a Nissan Sunny compared to an Aston Martin. In other words... us snobs can turn up our noses but Mark is getting the job done so there you go.

Point taken, Shaun...oops........I can post up your advice about the Odyssey, Creamware and original MkIII on a separate thread, if you like, for others to follow and discuss...BUT....back on topic.....
....Prodigy..........................thanks for the PM...been to your site....You've done a great job, to my ears, on M.E..The synth bass sound, VHum and drumming sound great!! Never heard such a faithful and accurate cover...
Where are the drums from? What's on the synth bass? Is it with an external vintage MXR distortion with electric mistress?
I really am astonished by the instrumentation of M.E. There's just one part, to my ears, on the Vox Humana solo which doesn't quite follow TPP, but, hey, super, well done!!..
On vocals, that 's the girl who sings with Lake District, Martin, isn't it??

I've got CubaseSX3 and a whole bunch of soft synths and effects etc and a midi KB. Drums are Battery2, bass synth is Minimoog (or any other synth works ok) on two saws detuned put through Amplitube1 basically using overdrive/distort and flanger (you can do the same with any other distort flanger. I experimented alot with phasing and get good results with the BlueTube's phaser on the Nostalgia Poly sounds. Apply EQ effects etc and see what yer get! I started a Radioactivity type tune about 3 months ago (finaly got Numan out of my head) but I've been swamped with my new work and don't know when I can get the KB out again... #boohoo#
