Just spent a couple hours fooling around here and I must say I couldn't be less inspired. Haven't got a bloody clue what to do with this at all #wall#
Might see if there's another track I could tilt at.

Andy, I think you're supposed to hang on to it until Sunday but Bern really needs to confirm this.
Bern?
Jords, I know what you mean mate, the collaborations (noodles) are much more fun it has to be said.

I'm with you on this Jordan.
I just can't get things to fit very well. Loads of good bits in isolation but don't sit well together I don't have any feel for it like I do with Numan stuff

All rules about timing/deadlines are flexible, the real hard and fast rule is about banging house style covers etc. Anyone doing a Kraftwerk track in a Numan stylee?

Sorry Bern but that's too vague mate. You need to set a deadline and stick to it or this thing is never going to end. Executive decision: All entries in by Friday 31 March 9pmAnyone who's finished and wants me to host the tracks, start mailing them in to shaun@dubsounds.com

Mine has been re-mixed & added too etc loads of times now, so I can relate to everyone saying it's proving hard to do. Kraftwerk are such perfectionists that it is difficult to re-invent their stuff.
However. ALL the rough mixes that were sent in last month sounded GREAT ! #bow# So PLEASE PLEASE dont anyone give up now. I was really looking forward to hearing all the final cuts, even if they were similar to the original rough mixes (cos they were COOL!). After all this isn't a competition - it's just a bit of fun between guys that love playing with analogue style sounds. So lets 'get in on' guys ;D
Barely a day goes by without me listening to my track and changing something or twiddling it here & there, but I am still gonna send in what I've got by Sunday and am really looking forward to hearing the other final cuts.
As the wonderful Mutley used to say "gimme gimme gimme" ! ;D

I dunno who's I'm most looking forward to. I have to admit I'm far more excited about hearing all your finished versions than I am in knucking down and recording mine. No names but some of the roughs I've heard so far are brilliant IMO ;D I'm still having a probem with those Antenna electrozaps. Everything I program just seems whimpy compared the that zapbuzzzztwwwwaaaanggg on the original (anyone fancy having a go for me? I'm sure small collaborations aren't against the rules and if they are - consider 'em de-ruled ).

Well the sun is shining bright and the back lawn's as high as an elephant's eye. I'm gonna dig the lawnmower out then stroll down the pub for a refresher. Moog schmoog.

If I get a chance though Shaun I will give it a go. i don't have this track myself so is there any chance you can send me a short clip/sample of the zapbuzzzztwwwwaaaanggg bit you mean. ;D

Shaun, I'm sending some snipets to your dubsounds email as I type. I realised after doing them that they are probably too short in length, but I can re-do which ones you prefer. I have done a few versions with a couple of seconds gap between them. they are all in C key & done on my Prophet 5. There is about 2 minutes worth of MP3 with about 20 or so different versions (some crap, some good) I'm off to bed now so I will catch up tomorrow. ;D
