We have a gig next sunday and i really wanted to roll out my new beauty to blow the house away but iam swaying to the general consensus and gonna let her stay at home. So ,if i pre record all the parts i was going to play on the poly and then play over them(with something similar ),am i cheating?

Only you can answer that question Martin. Fuck anyone else's opinion, what feels right to you? BTW check your email.

From what I've read on here these poly's don't like someone sneezing near them let alone giging. Pragmatism should win the day, as long as your playing something live you're covered if "the old tape fails". Now why was I thinkin of webbo???

always best to at least be playing something during the show, or you're just "tops of the pops"
i had a bartender once walk over to the soundboard and cut our backing just to see what we were playing live. boy did he turn red when he realized everything except the drums and bassline is all us.
i wouldn't trust a poly out in a club, that's a synth you don't even let your mates touch.
