After shauns advice we recorded the like a stone cover in Aminor, Shaun himself had a big hand in one of the versions below. Now he didn't have time to strip down the engine and lube each part individually, but he gave it a damn good valeting, polished the windows, touched up the paint work and put some new alloys on. ;D KITCHEN SINK MIXPIANO/STRING MIX

I listened to these a couple of times the other day but didn't get around to commenting however, perhaps that's because I haven't got much to say. Kitchen sink: All very nice but Lou's voice has odd vibrato (well to my ear anyway). Love the soundscape and sound stage / production and mix though! Piano / String: I don't like Lou's vocal, sorry This version is too baron for me and I'm not keen on the Theremin type patch. All still ten times better my efforts though!

As I said to Martin at the time, I definitely would have gone for a re-take on the vocal if it had been a Screamer original and not just a cover so I know where you're coming from Mark.
Martin prefers the vocal on the piano version but it's at a slower tempo and although I did do a quick timestretch test to see if it fit, it didn't so that was that ;D

All still ten times better my efforts though! You really need to stop putting yourself down mark. You promoted your last track with a laughter emoticon which made me think you didn't take it seriously so i didn't bother listening to it. What i've heard of your stuff is always well recorded and produced and most of all is original, you should always be proud of everything you create yourself. If you've got a kid who is not top of the class or captain of the sports team, you are still proud of them cos they are your creation P.s cheers for the comments mate #pintslugger#

Well said that man ! I agree totally. On to the mixes. . . Well I like both of them! I know what Mark means about the vibrato on the Kitchen mix, but the mix and synths sound wonderful on that version. Piano/String mix. Nicer in other ways due to being able to pick more of the individuals sounds and enjoy them fully. So, both good for different reasons for me.
