This is not a big release! Just messing around learning how to use my stuff and thought I'd bung it on here for a Sunday post pub laugh! Anyhow, happy dubbing dubsters!

Right,in my mind i've got a department store(top shop, burtons?)and once the doors close for business, the mannequins come to life and attempt to open the till. Thought provoking=good

You've got the right idea I think but you seem reticent to discard tired and tested clichés. Just when it seems you might branch out, you leap back to formula for safety Would help if you tried to be less squeaky clean too. Throw in some dirt. Its far to anti-septic to my ears. That said, its the most interesting thing you've done so far ;D

Sounds kinda kraftwerk-y (which is a good thing!) I think I agree with Shaun in that it sounds very clean and safe, but as this is only a draught I guess you intend to play with it some more anyway. Sometimes I leave a track for a while and go back and listen with fresh ears, I find that more things jump out at me then (good and bad). I enjoyed listening to it, so I hope you carry on developing it. ;D

I remember playing Qbert (the game) when it first came out a billion years ago, sounds quite interesting so worth developing further, room for more things to be going on and alot less at times, I'd try taking it off at odd tangents by doing some experiments with the theme, "what wouldn't I normally do next?"

Well, I took on board the constructive comments...then did nothing at all. I didn't want to add dirty sounds, I wanted cold clinical but I admit that it needs much more work and I a few ideas but alas, no free time at all at the moment and I'm on holiday in the Late District next so nothing for while. As a beginner, I've discovered I get stuck in a rut when writing so tend to leave a tune for a bit, work on another one, then come back to it. I've started on a Kraftwerk'ish track that I think has a really nice chorus, suitably cold and prob naff robot 'commands' over the top but currently has no proper verse and middle but I REALLY like the chorus which is based on a Theremin type sound..... I should also start playing with the Virus more as well....So little time, so little talent

A tried and tested method is seeing if you can get 2 or 3 unfinished tracks to gel together and make 1 whole track, that'll certainly add variation.(are friends electric? is a good example)
