Chilling lyrics, but I'm not convinced by the passion and despair of louises presentation for the first few bars but perhaps she was just worried about the forthcoming phrase which is below her natural vocal range. (' it all began one night...") I'm thinking of sinead OConnor and nothing compares 2 U. Perhaps you need to get louis really depressed before she records for this track??
Sounds like theres shed loads going on in the mix which my computer speakers can't do justice to. we'll see what the cognescenti think but I would say yet another step forward

Nice Martin. I like the left/right panning effect on the early string sound. I think Louise sounds sexy on this one Nice mixture of vocal effects during the song too. ("It all began one night" is slightly week compared to the rest though). Is that an SS30 string half way through ? The ending sound is sweet too Top banana ! ;D PS. yes I'd recommend listening to this through good speakers or decent headphones cos you need the clarity to do the sounds justice.

Cheers, dan, joe. ;D As usual, very honest and helpful comments The vocal was recorded after we recorded the very stressfull dubpod session #wailing# ,so it wasn't exactly how we wanted it,but we can always redo the vox. The main of the sounds going through the track are OB-XA ;D

Hmm. Vocals are way too loud (first verse especially), and Lou is outside her range on the low bits making it rather painful I'm afraid. Again it sounds like one or more of the synths is out of tune - dunno if that's deliberate or not but I'm not keen on the effect. I'm not talking about the atonal bells either. Having said all that there's a good track trying to get out and some nice sounds as usual, just needs a bit more fettling and a change of vocal line/key. Um, you might try tweaking the lyrics to scan a bit better and sound less garbled, e.g. in the first two lines lose the 'big' before 'surprise', and make 'into' just 'in' (or lose 'deep'). It's still 4 minutes more music than I've recorded lately though...

There is NO excuses Jordan stand in-front of your Poly and let your creative juices flow, or even better mate.....send me ya 280a and I`ll unleash some stuff on it #bigdube# Going back to Louises vocals though, they don`t sound right to me, as Jordan says it does sound abit painful in places, the reverb sounds wrong too mate (maybe abit too wet or wrong type of reverb) one of your synths sounds out of tune, but having said that, there`s some good stuff in that track. ;D
