I like it Martin.
For some reason the main keyboard sound reminded me of the Stranglers at times. The arpeg sections mostly.
Not single material but album type track. Suited Lou very well too.

Glad you enjoyed it col ;D It was my attempt to go a bit more uptempo :Dso the stranglers connection can only be a positive. Do you mean the polymoog(main keyboard)? Usually i give louise a track with me singing the vocal melody but for this and the liquidlove track i have just sent her the music, lyrics and rough timings so she has come up with the vocal melody and i think it is proving a much better way of doing it. I love reading how other people "hear"our stuff,i would never of thought stranglers

I liked that martin. Particularly the instrumental bit that starts at about the 3 minute mark - fantastic sound and melody ;D Lu's vocals do seem more comfortable on this one too. Cheers ;D

Good song Martin. It just needs some cool arrangement (some pacing) and a good mix (particularly balancing the EQ's) and you've got another winner mate. Nice to hear something resembling a bass making an appearance. It's a bit random and far too many notes to be effective but I think basslines aren't something you're confident with yet... but its a start eh? Lou's vocals were beautifully crisp on Liquidlove but here, I'm afraid they're getting too toppy and thin now. Yes, the clarity is there but there's no body to the voice. Back off the enhancer a bit Martin and don't forget to add weight to the voice. You can always use your liquidlove vocal now as a reference on how to get it spot on. Wasn't too enamoured with your vocal echoes. A bit hamfisted and overdone but once again... you're experimenting with new avenues. Liked your comment about you stopping singing and letting Lou do her own thing. 100% yes!!! She's more than capable of doing her own melodies and no offence but they seem to be a lot better than those you've supplied in the past. ;D Loads of promise in that one guys. BTW... does the kick not work on your CR-78 or something?

Dan,i'd better not say where that sound comes from but see if you can work it out: korg tri_on I'm not sure about the cr-78 shaun,i'll post a clip up of the cr-78 on it's own and see if it's just my eqing that gets rid of the kick P.S there is a less harsh vocal mix there now instead of the original mix

I have mine about minus three mark (ie just over two notches from the bottom). BTW the vocal now sits much better Martin ;D

It was my attempt to go a bit more uptempo melody Whats that then 78 BPM to 79? Just a mo whilst I get my funky dance shoes on Love the pitch shifting burbles and gloops but... up tempo, only by geological timeframes. Dare I say the unsayable???.. time to rest the polymoog perhaps.......................... #wtf# #sorry# #bergleblergle# #gone# #joannaman# Right off to hide in the deepest hobbit hole. That quote mis-quoted me The original line had a big ironic grin with it The polymoog use has been on my mind joe,i create a song then look for a sound which gives it an atmosphere. Problem is,the polymoog is perfect. Sometimes i ignore it and play with "the others"but i swear,it makes faint little vox humana noises even though it is switched off #trippy01# By this time i'm in a trance like state,i promise never to ignore it again and i start calling it master. Sometimes i record a song without using the poly but when i play the recording back, vox humana has mysteriously appeared in the mix #trippy02# I'm frightened

Don't worry about it Martin. It sits well in the song and isn't overly in ya face. You could try some of the other presets which might work well. Especially in you put sustain on the strings etc
