Shaun, what part of gav's post amused you? the part where he said "i" or the part where he said "agree" Col,some good points, well put. But the pleasure and satisfaction you'd get out of coming up with a track of your own would be 10 times that of copying a song. There is no need to write a song from scratch. Just use the structure of conversation,ie.put in minimoog parts exactly where they are in the original but instead of using A,B,C,use F,D,E. Bring the poly in at exactly the same time and as long as you play in the same key that dan chooses for the mini parts it will fit. There you have it,a completely new song with which to be proud of and show off to everyone,no need to tell anyone about where the structure came from And the best thing about it,with a polymoog and a near as dammit minimoog on it,it can't possibly sound shit

I think you ought to take all the instrumet's you picked out, and ADD on to Conversation where you feel it left off. Start it like Conversation, then go way out into space!!! It ought to be awsome, no telling what kind of extra riff's you'l find on that one. The possibilities are europe endless! (ok nuff my little 2 penny's worth from a "Newbe" sstehehehe

We may well do something like this, even if it is for our own fun (and hopefully some members here who might want to hear the results )but we'll have to wait and see. There is a new compo for us all to get our teeth into now. But thanks for the suggestion. ;D
