Made these here "scratchings" from fruity loop's, a mouse, and a good editing proggie. I figured this would be the perfect place to post them, (and get feedback) since you all like electronic sound's. I'm a big fan of the old analogue keyboard's too, and tried to stick to the sound as much as I could. Tell me what you all think? I know the one runs a little long, but I was needing a "surf the Internet track". My inspiration's are Gary Numan, Yellow Magic Orchestra, Abba, Giorgio Morodor. You don't hear that these day's, so I got desperate, and made my own. Any and all feedback is muchly appreciated! ;D -peace www.putfile.com/zonary

Very early eighties sounding backing tracks. Not sure theyre relevant today. Theres a difference between "retro" and "dated".

thank's Gavin! I surly do apreciate your comment! Yea, retro and, dated. LOL That's sort of what I was going for. That mellow early 80's electronic instrumental sound. I took out that Donna Summer dub, I was scared of copyright enfringment LOL the downfall of man kind around the world. Oh if anyone's curiosity get's the best of them, I got plenty more. made them over the course of 5 year's.

I Liked the beats on Yemenjelly, kind of reminded me some old skool electro music.
Also liked the L3polyshock although it is very long. Touches of Kraftwerk ? Some good sounds you've managed to get out of/through Fruityloops.
Thanks for posting them in for comments so soon after joining the forum. ;D

tank's D.M.! Yea, this is a kewl website! ;D I couldn't resist! I got a few like yemen, I pushed em out so fast, then threw away the pattern's. Trying to embellish with layer's, and poppy sound's, hard ta do with just a mouse and edit. Went in and jammed, and cut ta fit. Nothing compared to the professional sounding stuff I've heard in this forum! And yes, I LOVE kraftwerk, another inspiration!

wow!!! thanks Vortie!! ;D I'm sincerely glad you enjoyed my "tiny tonka sound's" (A P4 LOL)! I never get tired of pollyshock for some reason, I like to turn that one up real loud. I think that may stand up to being played out loud, not sure about the rest. I know YMO's bass line is week, I had big trouble putting that together. It still don't sound right to me. But it work's I guess, for all intensive purposes. Was it Pollyshock's bass line you were refereeing to? A bit on the repetitive side, I agree. I live in a tiny 3rd story European flat, and believe it or not, I made all my track's through Sony headphones. (neighbor's with big ear's) LOL owell. thanks for your great comment's!! Duely noted, and appreciated!!! And just had a listen to Nerve Jam snippets'! I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO VOCAL, JUST ELECTRIC!!!!!!!! YEA, YOU GOT A RECORD LABEL!!! STEHEHEHE GREAT STUFF! ;D I can't get passed Retro Electronica LOL KEWL!

Fiddleing around with this and that. Learning from this website, sort of like HAL did. It's ALIVE! lol! Which version is better? Still no keyboard, only a mouse, and good editing proggie. www.putfile.com/zonary I just know I like that piano sound and that vox humana thing together. Wunna do a bunch more :-) What you guy's think?

I think you might benefit a lot from learning to play keyboards Zonary. I'm not being rude but you need to have a basic understanding of musical theory in order to make something which isn't as random as my cat walking up and down the keyboard whilst the sequencer is recording with heavy quantize. Please take that as a positive criticism. If it inspires you to get one of those "teach yourself keyboards" software programs you can only benefit from it and it will help you to take the sound you imagine to tape. Then, once we get into something melodic and rhythmically viable, I can start ripping you apart (gently) on your mixing skills Keep at it mate

ahahahahaha, I knew I shoulduh spanked my kitty harder when she was clawin a# ta death. stehehe Thank's for the constructve critique. ;D From the man himself! Duely noted. Did you know, Sonny of Sonny and Cher didn't know how to play keyboard. And he sat down and wrote I Got You Babe, just plinkin' around on the piano. Jus a bit of triva. Your right though, I don't know to play keyboard. I don't know how many of those little (and big) casio keyboard's I've had. At least my kitty can't destruct the mouse, or can she? lol Im hopeing one day I can afford to get a midi keyboard. Till then, I just have to keep whipping kitty ;D

It's inventive Zonary & the polymoog sample comes across quite well. But gotta agree with Shaun on the getting a keyboard and playing it bit. Thanks for sharing it though ;D Always good to hear members own tracks in the making.

yea, definatly need to pick me up at least a midi keyboard. I'll keep my eye's peeled for one at the P.C. side walk sale dowtown's deep ellum. Definatly alot better free handing it than moveing those little block's around with a mouse and, I gotta get me another cat lol

wow, I toataly get what you mean now. See,I got this 24 bit 9600 card recently. Just now found out, you really gotta turn down the bass, and trebble. And my mixing? I hear that, I needed to back off that percusion!! ahahahahahaha, I had that up loud! Im keeping at it, and what Ive corrected is a biiig improvment! Thank's Shaun. Oh, also, gettng level checks out loud instead of through earhones help's (duh) big improvement.
