Anyone have any contact details for Chris Payne? I used to see him years ago at a local studio and I need to contact him over a track of ours he played on. I've tried GN's lot ("lost contact years ago" says Tony) and I've tried Chris' library music publishers (last they heard he lived in France - their last letter to him was returned marked "gone away"). I also have some news for him which would be to his, ahem, 'advantage'. Any ideas, anyone?

If you find him firstly say Hi then can you ask him if Metal and Airlane basslines are Ody or Mini.
Ohh and if a Poly was used on Replicas.
All the important questions first. ;D
Is the good news that on of the songs he collaborated on got snapped up.?
By the way. Havn't seem him since an Ultravox Concert in Brighton 85. Sorry.

No, sadly that's not the good news. At least sadly for me anyways. His publishers have some money for him and they can't get in touch with him! That's not a cue for loads of "no, _I'm_ Chris Payne" emails now....

That's not a cue for loads of "no, _I'm_ Chris Payne" emails now.... Well now you come to mention it... I was merrily playing my polymoog along to LO80 yesterday afternoon and after completing a flawless rendition of I De: You Die, I punched the air and yelled... "yeeeesss - i should have been in that band" Call me Chris ;D

Didn't his mum live in Lancing Andy.
Is there any way of tracing him through local relatives or something.
Did you have an address for any family members that might still be local.

You would think as a musician who presumably relies on royalties for at least some of your income, the least he would have done is make sure his publishers could GIVE HIM MONEY.... Sheesh...

Chris Payne is found.
Chris Payne is alive and well and still somewhere in France.
I have his email address via Billy Currie. Andy email me if you want it assuming billy didn't send it to you as well. You can ask him the Mini/Oddy question from PP.
