A quick cut and paste job of the email I sent you NJ ;D Thanks for the link mate. I took the opportunity to follow it through and checked out your other tunes as well and I can hear the Cabs, Foxx, Numan influences in what you're doing and good for you! The drum programming seems to be the thing you really get into as that strikes me as the most painstaking part of your work. From the selection available, I get the feeling of a clear progression and this (I assume latest) track has a lot of what was missing in your earlier material as far as grabbing people's attention. I like where you're coming from in the "minimimalist with tons of effects and electronic percussion" department but what I didn't hear was a strong "grab ya by the throat" structure emerging yet. Some of your arrangements seemed a bit disjointed to me as a first time listener but not in a Cabs building up to a crecendo sort of way. I just felt that maintaining the pace came secondary to the mixing and effects sometimes whereas Foxx et all have a very strong sense of structure to guide the listener through their electro terrorscapes. I do hope you can get what it is I'm trying to say mate. Its only a first impression but I hope that you'll have a think about pacing the material because I think if you crack that, you'll be well away.

Thanks!
It's good to get some CONSTRUCTIVE criticism.
I'll take that on board.

Thanks NJ. If there's one thing that really pisses me off, it's people that just slag down a track without offering anything by way of advice or constructive criticism. We all make our own tunes here and we all know how much effort goes into it and the balls it takes to offer up our stuff for opinion and regardless of what one might think of a particular track, a certain amount of credit should be given for that alone (well I think so). The odd thing is that you rarely, (if ever) hear any music submitted by the same people that seem to get their kicks from doing a full on character assassination of their fellow musicians and their abilities Fortunately, this is a numpty free zone
