Well call me a fuckwitted old Hector, I totally missed Goldfrapps "Black Cherry " album until now. A bigger chunk of analogue goodness you couln't hope to find. It dribbles with sounds I thought I wouldn't here on a new song again. Loose the digital chill by basking in the analogue warmth dudes. Check it out if you haven't already So what else has passed me by (besides my youth). Any listening ideas to suggest my fellow knob twiddlers.

Music taste being so subjective, it's difficult to say to people what to listen to but if you want synth sounds to give you a mental boner all I can say is what I'm listening to at the moment has some of that: (no particular order) Kraftwerk - Minumum Maximum Prodigy - Always Outnumbered (If you like Black Cherry you will LOVE this!) Skinny Puppy - The Greater Wrong Of The Right NIN - With Teeth Crystal Method - Legion Of Boom DJ Krush - Jaku Freestylers - Raw As Fuck Smash TV - Electrified Hexstatic - Masterview Tweaker - 2.am Wakeup Call Zero 7 - When It Falls Charlie Clouser - SAW (Soundtrack) Massive Attack - Danny The Dog (Soundtrack) Infected Mushroom -I'm The Supervisor / The Gathering Bit of industrial, bit of pop, bit of dance and a bit of trip hop.

Thank you ever so kindly Cap'n How come you have Minimum Maximum? Amazon say its release date is June 6th. Spooky. Do you reckon the live mixes add much?? I saw them in about 79 on the computer world tour. I think there gigs need a little herbal assistance to fully get them Got the Prod already and you're right, likewise NIN. The Old tripity hopity is never going to be my thing but I did check it out again . Massive attack - mucho thanks for that one. Well done for jumping off the fence

You lead, I'll jump Hate to sound posey but I've had the Kraftwerk album 6 weeks already. Advance promo copy doncha know The live mixes are excellent. They sound much heavier and have a lot more 3D space around them. Superbly engineered. I saw the Computer World tour. It was 1981, (I know cause I was 16 - awwwww)

Definately recommend:
Loophole by Sketch Show (who are the 3 YMO main members) Very electronic with lots of tiny sounds.Tracks are sung in english and japanese combined with spoken words in a swedish female voice.
Broken Drum by Beck remixed by Boards of Canada
Mister Sister by Denki Groove electronic reggae track recommended for the The Dubsounds Captain!

i've recently had these blaring:
Aborym - with no human intervention (black metal with bits of idm, drum n bass, and industrial woven in)
Nebula-H - H20 (about as trance as you can get for a "ebm" act)
Skinny Puppy - Back and Forth 6 (collection of outtakes over the course of their career - fan club exclusive)
Haujobb - the 2 new tracks on the remix disc, and a collection of unreleased bits i got personally from Mr. Myer

First up : - Vortex - You are a "fuckwitted old Hector".
(You said we had to call you that, so I am..)
Secondly, spooky stuff.. I dug out an old tape and stuck it in the car. Yesterday. The first track was "#1 song in heaven, by Sparks... anyway, the rest of the tape was mainly other Moroder stuff, eg "I feel love"..
Today, I tried another tape.. I rediscovered DEVO (Freedom of choice album), and YELLO. Excellent stuff. Arrived at work blasting out "Being Boiled - Holiday 80". Nice start to the day..
New stuff? Later!

There's a nice Moog sound on 'Bedshaped' by Keane too which really reminds me of old Numan/Tubeway Army.
Also (again spookily) I got the new double 12" promos of Goldfrapp' s new single in the post this morning...It's called 'Ooh La laa' and from the new album 'Supernature' (Great Donna Summer track).
Can't tell you what it's like yet as I have'nt spun it.

Sorry to nit pick Gary but "Supernature" was by Cerrone (a producer and a bunch of session musicians) and had nowt to do with Donna Summer (or Giorgio Moroder for that matter).

Well being stuck in the 70's and 80's as I am I can honestly say that I have not heard of 2/3 of those bands. Goldfrapp etc yes. Top Stuff.
I gonna have to broaden my horizons.
If you want to hear some new/old Electronic stuff some of which is quite rare check out Robot Rock Radio.
It's internet radio on live 365.
I heard Robot Trouble by Barcelona on it today and liked it so much I nicked it from Kaz.. I mean I payed to download it from somewhere expensive.
