I have decided to let go of my 203a - S/N 1994. Have had it since 1980 and it was last serviced about 20 years ago, when it was returned to playing condition (and I actually gigged with it for a while, until I got fed up with it drifting out of pitch!). It is complete, in terms of components, but minus the legs and polypedal (which I cannibalised years ago!). Its a non-worker - at least, it has powered up, but has a faulty power supply (Faratron) - but its mostly in good condition. I would really like to sell it complete as a restoration project, but might consider parting it out. Would welcome any advice.
I also have a flight case (though the foam has disintegrated), and a full service manual (copy downloaded from here) and a set of circuit diagrams, which I got from Moog in the 1980's.
Be interested to know what you think it might be worth. I would consider a private sale through here, other wise I will just stick it on Ebay and see what happens.

Hi Andrew, your flight case sounds like one of mine, the foam went hard and when you touch it disintergrates!
I had agreed to buy a non-worker recently for £600, same price I paid for one of my 280's, totally dead, but the seller withdrew at the last minute! so £600 - £1000? I'm not sure. Check out ebay's past sales and see what your think.

HiMarty
Thanks for the reply - yep the flightcase foam has turned to dust (very smelly, sticky dust!).
Will be putting the Polymoog on ebay in a few days - there is a 280a keyboard on ebay at the moment that has had 15 bids and currently at £387, so hopefully mine should go for a bit more.
Unfortunately mine doesn't power up any more. Or, at least, it does for a few seconds, all the lights come on then two diodes (CR7 & 8 - Faratron PSU) burn out in the power supply - have tried replacing them (and all the caps) but the same thing keeps happening. Not sure if they just need uprating, or if there is something further down the line causing a problem.
Will be sorry to see it go, as it has been a big part of my life, but at least it might give somebody a nice restoration project!

Well I'm glad to say this 203a is now about 90% running beautifully! Although I've cheated with a PSU from another for now (Just can't seem to get my head around the Faratron atm). I must say I'm well impressed with the sounds she can make. I'll have to record a video to show her in action Thanks again to AndrewR for parting with her

Truthfully, I had no idea. I was going off your signature "My 1943 Willy's MB Jeep Restoration" (which sadly goes to a defunct ntlworld site but I do remember seeing it when it was active). It's like your strap-line... I have this dyslexic thing that happens whenever I read it. To me it scans as "The size of ones cock is totally proportionate to the number of people present to witness it!" which I always find amusing but then again, what's not funny about willy jokes? I shall have a mosey around your FB and have a look for this Half-Track monster of which you speak
