Hi everyone,
I have had a PMK for several months now and absolutely LOVE it. Mine did not come with the poly pedal and I am wondering what it would be like with one. Can anyone post a video of a pmk with a pedal. I am very curious as to what is achieved when used.
Also, does anyone have one they would like to sell? Condition is not that important as long as it works.
Jim

Hey Polymoog enthusiasts.
I am STILL looking to buy a Polypedal. If anyone has ANY leads, please send them my way. There is one that has been for sale on Ebay in the UK now for several months and is too expensive in my opinion.
Thanks

Hi i have just been sifting through the loft and i have found the polypedals to my Polymoog 280A. I have carried out a light restoration on them i.e. cleaned polished, i have never tried them out as they are missing 2x jack plugs off the EXT SYN and SUSTAIN lead. They are in quite good condition but then again they are strongly built as they are normally used on the floor. Let me know if you are interested.

Thanks to everyone on the list for posting potential leads on polypedals.
In the end I was able to buy a synth techs pedal in Toronto as he had 2.
As there is no videos online showing how to use a polypedal I am wondering how to test to make sure it is 100% functional. He did a quick cleaning on it but does not have a working polymoog to test it.
Any advice on troubleshooting a polypedal? How does trig mode work? Ext syn? Glide on/off?
2 of the 5 patch cables do not correspond with the inputs on the synth.
Any help is greatly appreciated

Glide on/off? 2 of the 5 patch cables do not correspond with the inputs on the synth. Any help is greatly appreciated Hi, and congrats on tracking one down, I've gotten so backed up with things I can't imagine getting to work on mine again anytime in the near future (you know, like within the next 100 years! ) As for the cables not matching up with the back of the synth, don't worry, that seems to be the norm when hooking a Polypedal up to a PMK. Other than the LEDs, a Polypedal is completely passive. Each of the two large pedals operate a potentiometer via a linkage, and everything else is just switches, except for the pitch scale knob on the back, which controls the range pitch change with the pitch pedal. If it's turned all the way off (can't remember which direction that is at the moment) the pitch won't change at all, so if it seems like the pitch pedal isn't working, turn that knob all the way in the other direction. If I remember correctly, the trigger mode switch doesn't do anything on the PMK, and that should be one of the two plugs left over... ...hold on a sec... ...sorry, just got off my lazy ass and went out to the garage/workshop and made sure I wasn't about to type anything really stupid (well, more stupid than normal anyway ). Yes, the trigger mode and external sync. plugs will be the two left over. The trigger foot switch input on the back of the PMK, as well as the glide on/off input apparently involve using some other kind of switch pedal, and not the Polypedal. Other than that, either a function will work, or it won't. Any function that won't work will involve cleaning a switch contact (Sustain), cleaning or replacing a pot, or adjusting/repairing the linkage (Swell, Pitch/Filter and Pitch Amount), or replacing the stomp switches. Another possible headache is the contact between the power plug and the accessory jack. Mine was spotty at best. Yes, the Polypedal is passive, but the CVs are fed into the Polypedal through that plug, so if nothing at all works, check that first, even if the LEDs light up, as they are fed off a different rail. Hope this helps. The Polypedal really lets you do some things with the PMK that are nearly impossible otherwise, especially modulating the filter. Makes things a LOT more fun!

This really helps, thanks.
I just finished taking it apart, cleaning dust/connections, inspecting for bad joints etc. Looked flawless inside, just a bit of dust. After leaning the connections the pitch and swell functions sound much better.
It seems like you have to use the main out to use all the pedals functions.?
I Read over the manual and learned that only certain funtions of the pedal work depending on which voice selector is chosen. The swell only works on BRASS and BRASS CHORUS.
Now the only function not working is the sustain. I cleaned the cable connections and the inputs on the PMK. Also tried plugging and unplugging the accessory jack to see if it was just a bad connection. Any ideas?
The EXT SYN and the TRIG MODE funtions will not work regardless, right?
