what happened to Vangellis and Jarre, they just knock out arse dribble these days (and have done for some time, I reckon). I have a theory that people have a finite number of tunes in them.

I think your possibly right. people often write about personal experience especially traumatic ones and then they get famous and have lots of dosh and getting beat up down the chip shop is a distant memory and they write drivel about their first kiss or something.

Jarre is still going strong, I think he`s working on a new album....oh sorry we`re in the 21 century now....CD He released a live DVD earlier this year, and before that was the CD Geometry Of Love, which was a very laid back appoach to his usual stuff. He also released Metamorphoses in 2000, which has to be said is one of the best albums he has ever done, and its the only one he has ever sung on (vocoded of course).

I can't really say Ivé been impressed with Jarre since equinox, although there were some high spots on magnetic fileds. Despite that I''ve bought most of his ouput, most recently the china concerts DVD ( truly dull) and Aero. I think he's increasinglly sounding like elevator musak. I don't think Ive ever really been able to forgive him for collaborating with hank marvin
One thing thats clear on the china commentaries is that this is no modest dude!! and the facelift is wank!

Ooh twenty squillion keyboards. Were any of them plugged in? Funny, he played the same track on the docklands thing without them. Bloody Frenchie show-off. BTW, he looks younger than that now...
