I love Underpass by J.F. But someone said to me a while back that they think it sounds like he is saying "underpants"! Ever sinse then, it sounds like underpants to me too Maybe I should adopt that song as my dubsounds jingle (with the insertion of "exploding") "der der-der der-der der-der exploding underpants " ! The music is still damn cool though. I thought for a long time that it was done on a polymoog, untill that thought was corrected on here. J.F. is defo a clever chap to have got such lovely sounds from limited equipment back in those days. ;D

Well.... Bloody Hell. What an excellent gig. Great set and an absolutely _storming_ Underpass.
Louis Gordon jumps around like the guitarist with the mohawk in the Numan band :-)
JF didn't say much - "Hello Brighton", "Thanks" and "Thank You and Goodnight", I think.
The sound in the Pressure Point has always been pants and wasn't brilliant last night, although they did manage to get JF's vox to sit on top of the din. I couldn't work out whether JF's vox was backed with a vocoder, 'live' harmonizer or just stacked BVs flown in on the sequencer.
Didn't get a chance to say hello as the place was rammed (sold out). Saw lots of NIN, Numan and Ultravox T-shirts. Saw some right old sights as well!
Was going to go down the front and shout for Vienna but thought better of it......
And did I mention that Underpass was good? And Walk Away, Plaza, The Man Who Dies Everyday....

I wish it had been possible for me to go to the JF gig as well... Hope that the Amsterdam gig will take place later this year! Still about 5 hours from Hamburg but according to what I read here it seems to be worthwhile to make that trip... One question about the instruments... Something analogue on stage or silver keyboards/laptops?

I didn't get close enough to see anything clearly. I did see laptops and silver keyboards, at least one of which was by Novation. I suspect no real analogues at all Incidentally, does anyone have a set list from this tour? I know I was there but I can't remember it all! Someone must have put something in the water....
