Studio Shots from the weekend

My band fan-tan recorded at Stratosphere Studios in NYC last weekend. Wow what a place! Definitely miles above the nicest studio I've ever recorded. The studio is owned and operated by James Iha from the Smashing Pumpkins. Lots of amazing gear and vintage keys. I got to take advantage of the gold piano and the Arp Solina. The Chamberlin just tempted me the whole time. Maybe I'll get to use it on an overdub! Anyway, I took some pictures. Hope you enjoy! Studio looks great. I can see a lot of money has gone into that place and I'm intrigued by the sheet metal plate on that control room wall.

Yeah, not sure about the sheet metal. I think it was heavily lacquered, but I didn't look close. The whole place is really styley. Yes, very expensive! We're buddies with the engineer, so he hooked us up with a hefty deal. Otherwise it would have been a pipe dream.

Does anyone recognize the signature on the piano?? Hint - you may have the same signature on your guitar neck, especially if it's a Les Paul
