I paid about £350 for mine but the additional WS-1 write switch can go for about £150 (IF you ever see one) so I think it's a reasonable price... AND it's a buy now! Obviously you need to get a price for postage (mine cost me £8 @ 48 hours from Berlin). I was just humming and arring myself as to whether I want two CR-78's (having heard slight differences in Danny's). So hurry up old son... before I make up my mind ;D

On close inspection of the pics, it seems to be fine. Everything is here (including the little white fader caps which often go first as they can split with age).
My only thoughts were that the "cancel voice" buttons are a bit yellowed. The big square "fill" and "start/stop" buttons should be an ivory colour but the "cancel" buttons on mine are colgate white.
That said, mine had ben in a studio store cupboard since 1982 and likely had very little exposure to daylight.

You got a Pro-Soloist as well then? Right... two things you need to know about the CR-78 Push in Rock 2 and Disco 2 together. Select Rhythm A on the toggle switch. Mute the Hi-Hat. Zero the Guiro & Tamb faders and put the Metalic Beat Slider to about 30%. Turn the tempo to a shade under 5... Instant "Bombers". Push in Rhumba and zero all the Metal/Tamb/Guiro sliders and adjust the balance fader to where the bass drum is very quiet in the background... Instant "Remind Me To Smile". That should keep you happy for a while. Oh and if you decide to flog on the write switch, I'm top of your list OK? ;D

Nice but I wouldn't have paid that much for one anyway. That's the second one that has come up in the last couple of months from the same seller.
Must have a loft full of them or something.

I'm sure we are all pleased for you Martin (maybe a little bit green &/or slightly concerned that you might be bankrupting yourself!) but at least these lovely machines are going to someone who will love them and USE them. ;D Hopefully we will get to hear them sometime soon. Samples ? New songs? Pictures? Time for an updated kit list soon me thinks That ARP looks mint.
