Copied from the odyssey mailing list. Not mine or known to me.
'Time to move on. I've been looking for a replacement for my old
analogs (Odyssey, Moog Prodigy and OB Matrix 6) for a long time and
nothing came close but I finally found one. Novation K-station. I
have tried the Korg Virtual analog and the Access Virus and haven't
been impressed but I AM impressed with the Kstation. It seems like
Novation really understand analogs. It can single-trigger like my
Moog or multi-trigger like my ARP. It has linear portamento like my
Moog or exponential portamento like the ARP. It can even keysync the
LFO like an ARP. And the sound is just awesome. Only downside is the
2 octave keyboard but I'll get the 4 octave version when I can afford
it.
Anyway, I thought I'd give you guys the first refusal on my Odyssey.
I've owned it from new but to be honest, it's not in pristine shape -
all the slider knobs went a long time ago - but it is fully
functioning. The keyboard isn't great either with some non working
and some intermittent keys. I use it with a Pro-One MIDI to gate/CV
converter which I will throw in the deal for nothing.
If you're interested send me an email. I'm located in Shropshire UK
and pickup would be best. I'm looking for around £450 UK pounds which
I think is a bargain given recent prices on E-Bay. I also have a
Matrix 6R for around £250.
Sorry to see it go but I'm a live player and need something I can
easily replace.
Cheers,
Kevin'
