Well there's one up on eBay - only 4 days left and no bids at £175 - i was just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this. i recall some saying it's not as good as a Pro-Soloist, but is this just snobbery or reallt the case? Are they more or less reliable than the Pro Soloist? This one looks lovely condition cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7357683207&fromMakeTrack=true

Well this looks just like the one that was on top of Numan's 280a Polymoog on the Christmas 1979 Top Of The Pops appearance for "Cars" so who knows? Did they update the regular Pro-Soloist cosmetically to look like the DGX as well I wonder? If anyone goes for it off here please let everyone else know so we don't end up bidding against each other

The Pro Dgx is basically a Pro soloist with digital preset switching instead of rockers and the filter from the mk3 Odyssey 4035 I think. The early Pro soloist had the short lived ladder filter.
fairly similar in sound but a bit thinner apparantly and twice as heavy due to nearly all metal constuction. Some functions require a SHIFT and preset button to be pressed at the same time which is 2 handed so you can't play at the same time which is a crap idea really.
I'm gonna bid up to £200 just in case it goes cheap but after that i'm out and wait for the genuine article.

Well i'm about to spring £500-£600 on a new guitar, so i'll probably give it a miss. i'm actually after and ARP Explorer I (whatever happened to the Explorer II?) for the classic Philip Glass bass sound - although i'm not sure if it does much else.
