Soundmaster ST-305 drum machine for sale. Analog, dates from 1980s, no MIDI, but does have "SQ" trigger input and output, for connection to other period gear. Near-mint condition, supplied in original (scruffy) box, with copies of both English and German manuals. Al tested and working (by me, personally), and the battery holder and clip have been replaced. The pots and slider have also been dosed with switch cleaner. For those not familiar with this machine, it's a logical development of the Boss DR-55 - Soundmaster SR-88 line. It has step-time programming, one instrument at a time, but more instruments than either of the other two. It also has separate level controls for each instrument, AND separate outputs. It's listed on E-BayBest Regards, NerveJam

Hey Nervejam I see you're another Smoggy ;D You didn't by any chance play in a Depeche Mode wannabe trio with my cousin Graham Jenney back in the early 80s did you? I remember going to a practice session of theirs and they had one of these Soundmaster Stix machines Oh and I remember a Korg Poly 61 I think and an SH101 too. Soz for the threadjack!

Cheeky Bugger! I'm not a "smoggy"! That tag belongs to people who actually live IN it. I live miles away, but smoggyland is the nearest BIG town. But no, I wasn't in any DM - type bands in the 80s, more's the pity. Back then I had a Yamaha CS-5, Yamaha PS2, and BOSS DR-55. A friend had a CASIO VL-1, and we used to make strange noises (and the occasional tape). Never came to anything, though. Still have the CS-5, and a DR-55 (Not the same one..), and I now have 3 VL-1s.. Difference now is that I also have a Korg M500, Korg Poly800 (not arrived yet..), and some other stuff. That's just for playing about with, though. I create my music entirely on PC now. NerveJam on Electromancer

You think THAT's a result?
I bought a microKorg for £145, sold my KORG POLY 800 for £150, two kays drum machines, £62 and £64, MT-32 for £56, and then bought a Juno 6 in a moment of weakness. I'm looking at installing a DCB socket and getting a PRO-DCB to MIDI it up, though, so we'll see. I suspect it may be too BIG, though. I'm working on a Rolly R8, and a JHS Drum Synth at the moment, as well...

Update.
Got cold feet on the Juno. Sold it on. Bought lots of kit instead.
I particularly like the Korg ER-1.
