What sort of sounds do you get from one of these? Never played one, but they are said to be a bit cold - thin even - and nowhere near as fab and fruity as a JP8. Pretty good feature set though - actually more prgramming complexity than an 8. I've read the Roland developers of the JP8000 and JP8080 had a 6 on hand for comparison. For the money you could get a Polysix and a Juno and cover a fair bit of similar ground and then some, in a 1-oscillator kinda way...

I,ve been looking for info about the jup 6 and came across this site www.synthmuseum.com/index.htmlIts quite interesting in that it tells you which bands have used the various synths. 808 state seem to of used everything
