How about our own desert Island discs. Limiting yourself to 10 tracks is quite challening thus far I've only picked 3 certainties.
Anyone want to take up the challenge. Personally I'd like to hear the reason behind your choices as well.
Take your time and choose wisely. Bulet me know you're thinking about it in the mean time or shall I just get me coat?

for the record, one of my 3 is Tainted love by Marilyn Manson. The perfect mix of 80's camp nostalgia with scream in your face vented frustration. Marc v Marilyn the perfect bastard couple

Just so's you know Vortex mate, I've been trying to think of ten indespensible tracks for the last two days!
Problem is, with so much to choose from how the hell do you narrow it down?
I'll stick AFE up though as a definite, and I must have a Cure track. Probably Disintegration, but then again...

I thought pretty much the same. This seemes like a cool challenge until I realised the amount of mental anguish that it involved. I'd have a VERY hard time thinking of 100, let alone 10. If I did manage it, I'd probably sink into a big depression and hate all 10 because I would miss the other greats

I hope somebody steps up to the mark. I just thought of another 1 for my 10. Astrodyne-ultravox. I always imagined myself in front of a synth rig playing---- well all of it really. Cmon it is clever isn't it?
and the 3rd is "lifes a long song" by tull. "As you'tr falling awake............."
Right I'm off to sulk
ciao

You can throw Elvis' Hound Dog into mine. Such a unique sound. And oi - no jabbing at us when you haven't put 10 up yourself!

As i,m drunk i,ll have a go. In no paticular order; 1.Same deep water as you(the cure) 2.Bedshaped(keane) 3.Manhattan skyline(aha) 4.Spiraling(erasure) 5.My immortal(evanessence) 6.Just a man(faith no more) 7.Ticket to the moon(elo) 8.Roads(portishead) 9.Angel(massive attack) 10.Feel so different(sinead oconnor) These will change everyday and i,m not sure if this choice would keep my spirits up if i was stranded but they are all quality songs.

Tainted Love - Marilyn Manson
Lifes a long song - Jethro Tull
Astrodyne - Vienna
I Want to kiss you all over- Exile. Supreme fromage and Takes me back to when my mate ran a mobile disco. This was his trapping song.
Friday I'm in love. The cure. At the time I lived away from my girlfriend and this summed up my weekend. I'm pleased to say We went our seperate ways (she was a vache) but unusually it didn't taint the song for me.
AFE Was a fan, still am and I can sit out any delays and put up with the odd shite album. (Don't tell dig)
Train - Goldfrapp
Heaven Knows I'm miserable now - The smiths
Neon Lights- Kraftwerk
Closer - NIN

Looking forward to checking out some of the tracks. Captain sensible is that for real?? Have I missed something. All I know after the damned is "Happy talking" Not sure I ever forgave the damned for the piss take of "cars" which was used to slag me mercilessly at school.
remarkable how non synthy some of our choices are

I'm looking forward to some new sensible offerings.
It's been a good while since I've seen Captain, athough he still lives in Brighton. I think he's touring with the Damned again at the minute. If / when I see him I'll ask him what he's up to!
