My first post. I've got two Roland RE-301s to bring into this century. One needs a head lapping - which I will do - the other seems to have an intermittent flutter.
While I am waiting to figure out who the board admin is and how to contract that person, I hope to snag a schematic.
In the meantime, just curious to know how much the motor can be an issue. My experience is that tape is very critical - that is should be 1mil and not pro 1.5mil. Does anyone know if the original tape had a lubricated back coating?
Thanks in advance,
