2 days ago I found a Polgmoog 203A on a local Ebay-type auction in non working condition. The seller claimed it was working and suddenly stopped. It was at a repair worshop and he was convinced to sell it cheaper in it’s non working condition. Having designed and built analog synths in the early seventies I thought “why not” and was sure I could sort it. I was probably lured by the magic Moog name even though I knew that dear old uncle Bob had probably nothing to do with the design but the only other Moog unit I have is the Etherwave Theremin. So, ignoring the plethora of negative comments on the net involving bargepoles etc. away went my savings. I’m a fool to myself and my wife agrees. It arrived last night and it is in excellent condition outside and inside. The serial no. is 3671. As promised there is no sound at the output so I replaced the output opamp. Now there is sound, but the attack contour seems to be fixed at maximum. Thanks for your generous posting of the service manual but I think I might need any ideas you people might have. This seems like a friendly helpful forum and I’m glad I can be part of this club. I should probably start a thread in the Technical help dept. with all the symptoms in the hope that a kind soul has some ideas where I can start. cheers Biggles
