Great show. Couldn't believe at the end with Gaz and Foxxy standing next to each other, only to have that cock from Motor stand in front of them waving as if the applause was for him. Cunt.

Yeah I was there and Motor seemed to get a thumbs down from everyone, they had no melodies, samey sounding setlist sounded like one long track and trying too hard to be edgy, even dropping a keyboard on the floor at the end... pur-lease!
There were obvious better choice artists for that slot to keep the energy up between Foxx and Numan sets - Tenek, Global Citizen, Solvent, Neongrau, Daf, De/Vision (though they were touring the US so couldn't have done it), Polysics, Heaven 17 doing their Penthouse & Pavement set...,

I think I saw the Tenek guys there and I was thinking they would have been far better than Motor. All I heard was the '90s ravey Alpha Juno Hoover patch with no Alpha Juno on stage or in a rack. Just seemed to be a backing tape for the most part. Oh, and what happened to Richard H. Kirk, I thought he supposed to be there (or was that just the original gig that got cancelled?). Disappointed I didn't win the Scanner remix comp, but the winner didn't get played until almost everyone had left, which was a bit of a shame. My entry for anyone interested: soundcloud.com/luke-antony/scanner-entropy-will-endure-1

I thought it was a missed opportunity that there wasn't a Foxx Numan duet,, just either one singing on one of each other's tracks.
Motor and their ear whincing hoover sound! reminded me of a film/concert I went to at which had a japanese band called Acid Mothers Temple playing live in front of manga film on a cinema screen. Long Long droning high pitched guitar ear damaging sounds lasts 30 seconds on 1 note at least.(I actually had to put my fingers in my ears it was that bad)
I left when cars came on to get last trains... so missed hearing the scanner winner played , I've heard the winner but was curious to hear it loud in a big venue just for technical reference.Just played your remix - very good, sounds like you put a lot of work into that. There were quite a few good ones actually.
Crash and Zero Bars were the best Numan tracks for me...not really a fan of the new stuff... whisper-silence-noise wall. personal taste 'sspose

So you were there ! I was on a VVIP ticket, met Numan by the stage door by a stroke of luck, had a quick chat and he autographed my tattoo which I have had tattooe'd in permanently this morning! Got to watch (and hear) the sound check as was admitted before 5pm. Met both Foxx and Numan in the white room. Bloke taking pics on his ipad had a sense of humour by-pass when I told him 'you can get mobile phones much smaller these days you know' Foxx was a really quiet spokoen gentlman, autographed my ticket in nice gold writing. Numan autographed my polymoog (ok not the WHOLE thing but part of the cover I took with me), so now I have an autographed polymoog! For the show, was impressed by the Mirrors. Foxx was superb, never seen him live before. I wasn't sure what Motor were trying to do, it all seemd to be recorded backing tracks that all sounded too similar. The best part of their act was the bright light from the keyboard (which did you notice didn't give a whimper when he dropped it ? Wasn't even turned on!). As for Numan, opening with DITP got everyone going. Nice to hear some original tubeway stuff I've never heard live before. 'Crash' was good, probably the only track from 'Dance' that could manage the update! I like the 'Jagged' and 'Pure' stuff but wasn't sure about the new track 'written on monday'! I got some cracking pictures of everyone on stage at the end, shame they came on so late as I think llots of people had headed out! And you're right about the knob from motor jumping in. Then went to the after-show thing back in the white room. I'll post some pics if anyones interested. Marty2moogs1signedbyNuman

Yeah I'd like to see Martymoog's pics too... Security took my camera battery as the camera I had been lent by a friend for the night was deemed "too professional as it had a big lens! So had no pics I asked why, and they said it was at the artists/artist's request.... I don't think that exactly the case....

You know that is so annoying, there was a guy sat near me, on the stairs on the balcony who positioned a HD camcorder, on a tri-pod by the rail and filmed the whole thing. There was a security guy all the time about 5 feet away who said nothing. No doubt the footage will be on youtube of pirate DVD by now!

Thing was, the Foxx set had a problem with the projector thing cytting out after a few songs so the visual impact was would be less on a recording...
surprised they didn't have an official film crew there.
Seems the general concensus was that Motor were not good. No one I spoke to liked them.
I don't really like these long events... I would rather a longer set from from John Foxx without the DJing and Motor. I missed Mirrors, got there just as the Foxx set started.
Kinda of OT but...Remaining Synth bands that need to reform so I can see them include: Cabaret Voltaire Landscape (performing the whole of "From The Tearooms Of Mars to...| Telex performing the Birds And Bees album Ippu-Do performing Radio Fantasy album Visage performing the first Visage album

Space invader was a Denki Groove track..... there was an Ippu Do remastered rereleased box set of all their albums out about 4 years ago.It was deleted soon after release.... I do have it though....it consists of 7 albums on cds and 1 dvd of videos.
