Would anyone happen to have a ua726 on hand that they could part with? Maybe even two (in case I need a spare)?
They are available on eBay of course, but all from one seller, and the fact that they list a pair at wildly varying prices makes me a bit leery. Even at their lowest listed prices, the temptation to take just any old 10-legged circuit in a TO-99 can and change the label to read ua726 would be far too tempting, and I have in fact run into counterfeit semiconductors before.
Anyway, back to the subject, if you have one or two that you can let go, even if they are used, and as long as you can promise they are 100% functional, I'm interested.
Thanks to one and all!

I don't have any of those, but I've bought from Partspipe aka Hongkongsuperseller before. I get a lot of electronic components on ebay directly from China, and haven't had any bad experiences. Though sometimes things will take a couple of weeks to arrive. Last purchase was for a small lot of PT2399 chips. I usually buy things like LED's, switches, etc, in bulk and it's a lot less expensive than Mouser, Digikey and whatnot. And yeah, they might all come from the same seller. In fact, the PT2399 chips I thought were coming from Canada, but then ended up from HK.

I agree, I also buy "non-mission-critical" stuff like LEDs, sockets, switches online from Hong Kong. A lot of stuff like that originates there anyway, all you are cutting out is the middleman... Thanks

Hi Don,
I recently bought 4 from goodbuy711 off ebay, took just over a week to arrive. They weren't particularly well packed, stuck in a small block of foam in a padded envelope. All had their long legs bent, one so bad one leg snapped off!
I do have one spare, PM me your address and I'll send it to you.
Marty
