Maplin 3800 SynthesiserJust spotted this one.. apparently, it's just been refurbed by the original owner and builder.. Looks good to me.. I was always going to build a Powertran Transcendent 2000 synth. Except I never had the money. And then the CS-5 came up for £150.. Or a Clef Rhythm box. That idea went out the window when I found a DR-55 for £35.. I did manage to get one years later, via ebay. Add in a Tandy 4-channel mixer (modded by me), and a Realistic (Tandy again) Reverb unit (BBD), and that was my main setup in the 80s. Later, Polyphonic sounds came from a Yamaha PSS480.. (Reprogrammed by me, using PSSEDIT, and/or my own editor program, written in BASIC on the ST.. that was a task.. 1s complement checksums, anyone?)
