A 280a Polymoog Keyboard just appeared on the US eBay website. It is located just north of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. According to the seller, it is in fully working condition with one missing slider cap. It is SN 1006. PMK on eBay

Hmmm....interesting. Apparently, no one wanted to pay more than $380 (USD) / 532 Euros for this keyboard. After all, it is missing the cap on the volume slider.
Not that it matters, since it was being sold by a commercial entity, the reserve price was probably higher than it should have been anyway.

I agree about the warp. Replacement slider caps are available from "chipforbrains" on ebay for a fairly modest sum.

Am I missing something? What "warp" are you referring to?
The seller assures us the board is fully functional, so is it really a problem?

Look at the top panel at the front.

Look at the top panel at the front. Easily disguised by the careful deployment of a Minimoog or JP4

If anyone's interested in it still, I emailed the shop for a friend, I wouldn't bother but.. Hi Lee, the customer has set the reserve at $1500. You are welcome to make an offer. reply-to: mark.deluca@juno.com ------Original Message------ From: simeoneuk.comTo: MVH Subject: Polymoog Ebay Sent: Jul 10, 2009 9:05 AM Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry

Thanks Simeone. That's pretty much what I expected.
There are a lot of people over-valuing their used equipment. Unfortunately, some of us are forced to over pay just to be able to acquire the instruments we want. This then tends to increase what sellers think they can demand for their equipment. Eventually, they are being priced way beyond what they are worth.
