Last night, I was bidding on a Roland SH1000 and a Korg M500SP, both from the same seller. I had my proxy (at work) set up to bid on both of them, but I couldn't resist watching the last few minutes. The Roland went for £77!! Normally I'd have chased that higher, but I REALLY wanted the Korg (I've moaned about selling my m500 a few times on here). My max bid on the proxy was £105, but some bugger went higher. In the end, I won with a last-10-seconds bid of £117.17 Their last-ditch sniper bid was £117, so I got it by 17p....
Watch this space for some sell-offs of my other kit.. (Mini Korg 700, Crumar Stratus, possibly the Darkstar as well..)

My ebay proxy just went berserk, and bought me a Cheetah MD8 (FAULTY) despite me cancelling the proxy bid. Hmm... It insists that I am not the winner, despite the fact that I have received notification from eBay and actually paid for the item. Interesting.
Good job it wasn't a Ferrari.

Received the "faulty" MD8 this morning. Big rattle inside. Opened it up, and there's the backup battery, snapped off it's legs, loose inside. (and the battery dead) Replaced it with a Maplins one (daylight robbery), and went to plug in my dc adapter, and.. bugger! I blew that up last month. Won't know until Monday if it works.
I'm about to arrange pickup of the M500 I bought earlier this week. Hopefully have that by next Thursday-ish..

I'm about to arrange pickup of the M500 I bought earlier this week. Hopefully have that by next Thursday-ish.. JEEZZZUSSSS! It never used to be this fiddly! First up, I had to contact the seller to get the phone number of the pickup address, then it turns out that DHL insist on using their label, and the seller doesn't have a printer.. Neither do I on on a weekend.. So the solution is: wait till Monday, and print the DHL label, snailmail it to the collection address, and arrange for pickup on Thursday. I used to have an account with parcelsend. All I ever did was book online and that was it. Buggers went bust. And don't start me on parcelfarce...

UPDATE: Received the M500SP today. (at work). I've already checked it over, and because it's an SP (SPeaker), I was able to actually play it without an amp.. Everything works. Nice. No knobs or controls missing either. The wooden bit above the keyboard is wobbly, not sure if that's DHL or age, but easily fixable. It's now lurking in the server room until I can get it home next week.

Thats why i dont trust those things. Im old school. Finger on the mouse button. Thanks to the new "green" policy, #blahblah# we can't leave machines on overnight, or weekends, (they are shut down at 9pm automatically), so my eBay sniper (auctionsentry) is no more. Fortunately, the license expired yesterday anyway. So I've signed up to an online sniper service (auctionstealer), so I can snipe without my machines being on. And I can access my snipes from anywhere! Hurrah!

No. It needs other, period kit as well.... Someone told me that OMD used the m500 through an "electric mistress" pedal?
