Got all excited about this - it's described as a Polymoog with midi interface - turns out to be not quite as described (although Dubsounds does get a plug) ... That said, I will be bidding on this one - I'm after a 230 - wish me luck :-)

2 observations for you Andy.
1. I think it possibly has some broken keycombs on there as a few of the keys look too high for it just to be bushes. sometimes the comb hasn't broken when bent up but breaks when you try and bend it back again
2. It's a Polymoog synthesiser which shouldn't exist until serial 3900 ish when the 280a became the Keyboard in 78 so it's possibly a combination of several which isn't uncommon.
Looks generally pretty good though and i know a taker for the pedals as you already have some.

So you're saying that with 'that' serial number it should state 'Polymoog Keyboard' on the front panel, even though it's a Polymoog Synthesizer? Therefore it might have the 'wrong' front panel (not that I mind)? Also, with that serial number will it have the older, not-so-good Faratron PSU?
Broken keycombs are a new one on me... Is this is a huge issue, i.e are the keycombs replaceable / fixable?
Edit. Shit - just looked at the restoration pages. The combs are all pressed out of one piece of steel, right?
Thanks Col.

The moog psu is the good one the faratron is the less reliable. It may well have either as i'm not sure exactly when they changed but 78 ish which that serial number is close to.
Yes i would expect that serial to be a keyboard model but it could have bits from several Polymoogs or just had the preset panel replaced for a better cosmetic condition one.
Key comb is not technically difficult just hard to get the replacement keycomb and very time consuming to fit. The original came in 2 pieces which is basically 2 Minimoog keycombs side by side. Now you just cut out the individual broken comb and replace that one. They are riveted to the key chassis and can be re riveted or bolted on with a small nut/bolt. If the comb is broken the key will still work but will have no damping and were it not for the fact it hits the underside of the front panel it would ping right up in the air.

I know a taker for the pedals as you already have some. I was actually sat here just after Andy posted this with a message reading 'I'll have the pedals if you don't want 2 sets', but I wavered and decided I couldn't afford impulse purchases at the moment! Deleted the message Good luck witht the auction Ando ;D
