Well if you've been lurking then you know someone has to ask... Is newvox your real name? Now the lame in joke is over with tell us a bit about yourself (or is that going to take another 3 years?)

That's a hell of a long time to make up your mind mate ;D i'm guessing the final push came from seeing that picture of secretagent (Martin) with all those Polymoogs

Thanks guys, Well theres not much to tell. Real names Ken, as Shaun and Gavin may remember from TTP etc. Im also slowly moving into PC based synths. That's a hell of a long time to make up your mind mate ;D I didn't think about it every minute Shaun, but im still trying to decide on that studio advice you gave me on TTP about three years ago also. ;D Apart from that its the usual story, i play keyboards badly, and collect bootys from most synth groups around.....

Hi Ken What gear have you got? Hi is it Mark (if i remember from my TTP days?) Over the time ive had what i consider mid range synths like Roland Juno's and cheap Korg's. Ive sold and bought quite a few over the years, mainly because i cant afford to keep them and buy others without selling some. At this moment ive only got a Juno 6 and an old guitar amp, that i piss the neighbours off with. I'm also using an old tascam 4 track analogue tape to record. Theres no way I'm going to reach the level most of you have here, but i certainly want to move to PC based music now in a small way.

Yes, it is Mark :-)
Did I know you on TTP? I don't hang out there much unless I release a turdy TTP style ditty.
Perhaps you could buy a 2nd hand copy of Cubase 3 SX on eBay to start you up?

It was from the time you 'found' a 'demo from the principle sessions' about two years back Mark, and ive still got two of the versions you made, there somewhere on the PC #scratchhead# Ive been looking also at Cubase 4 SX3, looks a bit complex at this stage. All i really remember from Shauns advice was get the fastest PC you can, and dont use it for anything other than the music software. At least the money is not so much an issue for me these days. It still looks like too much work to me though.

You can build a shit kickin' quad core PC with 4GB of ram and 1TB storage for about £650-£750 these days including a decent multichannel soundcard.

Oh! LOL. I think I did them on Cubase SX3.
I've gone for Cubase Studio 4 recently, does the trick for me.

Its about six and a half years later, but I thought I would drop by and see how things are going here. Its the Numan 'Residency' shows that's reminded me of Shaun's place, good to see some regulars still around. [Edit] Would be nice to see Steve's place at TTP back on the road, but its been deserted for ages.

I lost her email address ages ago, so thanks for that. Good to see you're still alive and kicking.
