Having had zero interest in the Matrixbrute all through its (difficult) conception, I've now had my head turned by some impressive sound demos and generally rave reviews. I'd like to own one. Thing is it's a chunk of cash to buy, so I'm looking around wondering what could be let go. And the only thing that doesn't find a regular place in my amateurish noodlings is the Odyssey, an original Mk3.
Obv this is a highly subjective thing, but would you let a vintage Odyssey go to (partly) fund a Matrixbrute?

I wouldn't! I mean, the ARP has so much character, and while I'm sure you can get far more complex timbres from the Arturia, I'd never let go of MY ARP. Just my two cents!

If you MUST, you could always buy the updated Korg version like mine. Got me a rev-2 and it's my favorite thing!

I certainly wouldn't. In fact I just bought a new ARP MkIII, as I always wanted one.
Do you have a kidney or elderly relative you could sell instead?
