Hi,
I'm Marc. I recently discovered Polymoog 203a #4129 in a derelict music studio in Singapore being used as a table.
It says Feb 1980 under the bonnet so she must be a very late unit - last 20 or 30? (Does anyone know the final serial number?). She'd been in the same studio for 36 years so apart from a few understandable issues (Tantalum caps blown, etc.) is actually in top notch condition. I had her flightcased (no easy task in itself) and shipped back in London where she's halfway through repair and restoration by Simon at Funky Junk.
I also pulled a Roland SH2 and Linndrum out of the wreckage. Both working but need repair.
I saw a post from a fellow in China looking for a Poly. I do warn him that there is NO ONE in East Asia who specialises in these things. Everything HAS to go back to Europe / US for repair and when you are shipping a brute like the Poly around, that's not cheap.
On the other hand, I could hardly let the old girl go to the rubbish dump, could I?

Hi Marc, welcome aboard. Your Poly sounds great. I'm not sure anyone knows the actual last SN but yours has to be one of them. I didn't have a date before but a bit of guesswork based on yours would mean we're probably looking at March 1980 as the shut down date on the 203a. Unless a higher SN comes forward of course.
Good luck with the restoration and do keep us updated.
Shaun
