Anyone else go see Numan last Saturday in New York City for the Pleasure Principal Tour? Apparently he lost his voice a few days earlier, but got it back that day. He said he hadn't been able to sing Complex the days prior, but I think hit every note just fine. They opened with Random, then all of Pleasure Principal, then some newer stuff (though a lot of the new stuff is over 10 years old now, that's kind of weird), Down in the Park, more new stuff, I Die You Die, AFE, and that's all I remember It was a fancy venue in Times Square, and they had the lazy option of theatre seating. I chose that option. It was pretty quiet in that area, so it was like watching a movie. I feel like I would have gotten into it more had I stood up front.

yeah seating at a gig seems abnormal to me.
I've only been to two artists who got the reluctant out of their seats at any venue to have a boogie. Not to say there aren't many more I don't know of. Anyhoo; OMD and David Byrne
I may be an old fart, no actually I am an old fart, but my preference is a few (no many ) well timed bevvies and an equally well timed pit stop to empty the bladder enough to last the gig then have at it... and behave like I'm 20 again.. gigs are just about the only time I'm shameless

I saw him at the Paradise Rock Theatre on the 22nd in Boston. It was a GREAT show.
