Excellent commercial song writing and production and a impassioned vocal Matt. I'm surprised it's only 9 years old though. In a blindfold test, I would have said 1986/7 with absolute certainty. It has all the trademark sounds and production style of that time and borrows heavily from the Numa era school of production with some Bill Sharpe twists in there too. I guess you were listening very closely to that music at the time. Let me put it this way, if it had come out in 1986, I would have bought it and loved it to bits. We've been over this ground before of course. I don't think you could update this song, (although I could be wrong). It's just such an '80s classic that never was (unfortunately). As I've said to you before, I would avoid linking this type of material on Numan forums. Of course you'll be guaranteed a lot of praise and flattery because it has such a strong Numan sound but it will only distort your sense of where you should be right now... writing new songs from the maturer and more life-experienced Matt with new things to say and new sounds to tell your stories with. Walk away Matt, I know it's hard because you were really excellent at '80s music and I know you think this was your best work but I think we both know that boat sailed a long time ago and you need to show us who you are today. I wish you every success in doing so, (software issues aside)

appreciated and noted, soon as cubase is well again i may have a few surprises for you cheers shaun ps,, you are right, the idea came alot earlier than the recording, ppgs are from child with the ghost, i had the samples kicking around for years. the actual synth intro figure line was inspired by depeche modes Policy of truth, i think i recorded the song somewhere between 2000 & 20001, still confident at the time that there just maybe a market out there for it, hmmmm,

As fine a slice of 80s synthpop as I've heard in a long time - astonishingly good #bow#

its all about pre stage nerves and the realisation that you could be on the verge of fame but being to scared to take that final step into the spotlight, ...its a true story,.....sadly

LOL made me feel 18 again. I think Shaun is uncomprimisingly right about its era though. I can even imagine the video! Nice work.
