Quite good. Is this a song about "the holocaust" or using holocaust as a general theme?

David has a really good voice but I just wish he wouldn't try so hard. That in itself is what I find off-putting about it sometimes. I can so clearly hear the Numan, Bowie and Murphy phrasings in his delivery that its easy to write it off as a pastiche. As I hear it, he has a far greater range than Numan and a wonderful vibrato (albeit sometimes a tad forced). I just wish David would step out from behind his influences and let us hear his own natural voice (which I feel sure would be far more unique to himself). On that first track you did together, the verses were much like I'm describing so perhaps that might help to illustrate what I'm talking about.
The backing track is a nice screamer type of thing. I particularly liked the guitars and the electronic screaming noises. The Chameleons bells (which I know are your favourite Martin) would be ok if they were a little lower in the mix and a lot less of them. Making use of such distinctive "Numan" sounds is ok as a "homage" but I think they should be done subtly. Where you started pitchbending them was nice though because you were doing something different with them.
If you remember that tenek remix I did, in the mid 8 I played a few notes of AFE on the Wembley Prophet 5 patch. The thing is, those four bars were the only appearance of that sound in the whole track. I dropped it in, tipped my hat, gave us a laugh and that was that. I think that's the way to deal with "influences", make them tongue in cheek and try not to labour the point.
With enough studio time, it would be nice to replace the flip-flop drums with a bit of real drumming and a bass guitar part would sound nice too but this is your recording, not mine.
As per, these thoughts are (hopefully) intended to be helpful Martin. I know it must be frustrating to read my nitpicking but if I didn't think there was any potential in yours and David's collaboration, I wouldn't bother ;D
