Good the ideas are starting to roll. Not for me they aren't I'm sat here listening to the back catalogue thinking 'how in the name of Zarquon do I take this anywhere good? It's perfect as it is!"

To make the agony slightly less, someone choose me a track to do. Sensible suggestions please...

Hands off Neons Lights. It's already a work in progress. Not a lot of progress I grant you but it's difficult to make it sound different and still maintain the theme if you know what i mean.

If it's definately gonna be an instrumental you want (rather than turn a track into an instrumental) then how about Spacelab? (only get 2 words in it so they could be dropped easily).Spacelab is a great track not often covered.
Well I'm thinking of doing Spiegelsaal or Europa Endlos or Computeliebe at the moment.aaa may even do Spacelab come to think of it...

Singing certainly isn't one of my strengths but i'm gonna have a go although my voice might be doctored. If nothing else it should give us all a laugh. I think Andy should do vocals just for the hell of it.

I might as well register my song in case no-one got the hint. I'm doing Antenne. Songs I'd like to hear covered that haven't already been mentioned are: Metropolis (how difficult is it to sing "may trow poliiiiiiisss" ?) Ohm Sweet Ohm It's mear fan to compute Kometenmelodie II ;D

Good selection so far (not set in stone):
Dubsounds - Antenna/Antenne Binary Zero - Computer World/Computerwelt Dannymoog - Music Non-Stop Heath - Ruckzuck Spoonz - Neon Lights/Neonlicht Labouch - Spacelab Tokyohunter - Spiegelsaal/Hall Of Mirrors
Still to pick a track are Minimoog,Secret Agent and Vortex(in this thread) Other members who might be up for it?... Garycee,Liquidscreamer,Gavin???
Metropolis is tempting too....mmmm...might work on two tracks.... Antenne is a much neglected trackso I'm looking forward to a new version of it!

Might as well come out of the closet and say I'm working on Europa Endlos meself. God but it's hard work when you haven't a clue. Two days in and I've sketched out the intro and recorded two audio tracks for it, both of which I need to do again...

I agree that using midifiles as a basis is cheating but I also understand that playing by ear is difficult for some people so here's the best I could find on the net: Kraftwerk Midifiles Bundle I downloaded over 40 but after auditioning them I threw most of them out as they were total rubbish. These one's are the best of the bunch so save yourself the bother. There are no midi's for any of the obscurer tracks we're picking as far as I know. Zip contains: Airwaves Computer Love (remix) Computer World 1 Computer World 2 Electric Cafe Europe Endless Franz Schubert Music Non-Stop (remix) Neon Lights Pocket Calculator (remix) Radioactivity The Man Machine The Model The Robots (remix) Robotronik The Telephone Call Tour De France Trans-Europe Express No date set yet as far as I know but isn't that upto the organiser?
