Indian Ropeman - "Elephantsound". It's about 5 years old now but is such a head trip. Brilliant music to shag to as well ;D Monolake - take your pick from "Polygon Cities", "Interstate", "Gravity" or "Momentum" - very blippy and experimental but damn clever stuff! Crystal Method - "Community Service II" a superb mix album of big beats and grungy doodlings, also superb! Evil Nine - "You Can Be Special Too" (I actually bought that one ). Pendulum - "Hold Your Colour" as big and bouncy as it gets. Intelligent drum & bass beats with incredibly powerfull and dramatic synth/orchestral arrangements - you HAVE to hear this - devastating! Great thread mate

The Cocteau Twins and Harold Budd, the Moon and the Melodies. Blinding album ;D Love all the Cocteau Twins albums Shaun. Sheer guitar effect dripping heaven, and enough deep lush Bass to sicken any parrott. Perfect.

I totally agree Shaun, I first heard the Cocteaus on the John Peel show when he played "from the flagstones" and sugar hiccup".From that moment I was in love with them, then when I saw them on TV for the first time, it all fell into place, she was gorgeous, and you're right, those eyes of hers are so "Watership Down". Unfortunately I never saw them live, and imagine they were even better in the flesh. Loved them on "later with Jools Holland" and Liz sounded wonderful with "Massive Attack". the Cocteaus version of "Frosty the Snowman" is one of my favourite ever Xmas records. OK Shaun you can have her, but I want Robins Guitar set up.

yeah the Pendulum album is fantastic, my bro sent it to me probably 2 months back or so. see this is why i miss us talking less nowadays, compatible music tastes i spent my new years at home having an old school Wax Trax festival, just busting out all my favorite industrial from the 80's - early 90's i've been listening to Headscan's new album "pattern recognition" the opening number "terra incognita" could have easily been on haujobb's "solutions for a small planet". great disc of electro booty beats and trance stuff kinda given a big sci-fi atmospheric wash.

better than what TKK has turned into now.
when i saw them 2 years ago it was just Buzz and Groovy strung out to shit. i just can't respect a band bugging the crowd for drugs after the gig.

The Cocteau Twins and Harold Budd, the Moon and the Melodies. ;D I was very fortunate to meet and have dinner with Mr Budd a few years ago. ( :-/not bragging....much! ) fell very much in love with the silver haired man . He then, spontaniously, went on to collaborate,on stage, with Jah Wobble as they were both playin gigs on consecutive nights in the arts centre I worked at. It was great !!!!! ;D
