Thats the whole idea of it guys, I wanted it to sound as close as possible to Jarre as I could get it, there are bits and pieces I`ve got to change and add, but the ONLY instruments I`ve used are Nostalgia, CS80V, Nord Lead 1 and 3 and some totally brilliant Solina Strings samples from Shaun. ;D (my set sounded totally lifeless, and the ones on Nostalgia are no better, and it shows) it did n`t matter how much I EQ`d them they still sounded shite. The ARP-Pro whistle is actually from the NL3, and programmed by myself, its the closest I could get to the real deal. Thanks for the positive comments guys, it is appreciated, as this is the first composition, on which I`ve put up anywhere I`m hoping to have it completed within the next 2 weeks or so. There is only ONE thing missing from the track tho.......SEAGULLS!!!!!!

I'm trying to get mine finished before I go away, but it is not going well. My Synthex has a problem which means I cannot layer sounds (and this is something Jarre used alot ) Anyway I am doing what I can, but with other things going on at the moment, I may have to send in my best effort so far, rather than a finished article. Anyway. I'm loving the entries so far and looking forward to more on the way soon. ;D In the end it's all good fun and a great learning experience for all concerned, and that's the main thing as far as I'm concerned. ;D

Sounds really cool - very authentic. Maybe a Jarre nut could tell the difference but I certainly can't. It sounds like a finished, complete JMJ track rather than an intro, don't ya think?
PS. Love the choir - what was it? :-)

Its a Mellotron Choir from my Korg Karma, and it sounds identical to the Nostalgia Mellotron Choir.

Bit long for an intro Russ but a quality track no the less. Very well mixed to my ears as well.
If you told me it was Jarre i wouldn't dispute it which was the object of the exercise. I hope your very proud of this track cos i would be.
